Now the needed political revolution needs public support/involvement in the political process.
I have asked Bernie if he would please use his campaign to get people involved.
To direct the public to where they can see proposed legislation on public access government web sites — to educate themselves not only on proposed legislation but also on who authored it and who supports it and who opposes it.
Voting records also show clearly who was in support of good legislation as well as who was in support of bad legislation.
Yes he asks for people to get involved — BUT — I think he could do a better job of it if he directed people to initiatives that are already in process and to contact their current elected officials to get on board in support as well. Also if he directed people to get their current representation to support Bernie’s current campaign agenda “publicly”.
In directing the public to existing initiatives that they can access (get involved with) on-line (as well as in person if the initiative has local base of operation) — Bernie can make an immediate impact on what government is doing and is not doing RIGHT NOW.
Directing Public support to issues and existing initiatives puts pressure on those who are currently in office — especially if the public contacts their current representation to get on board in support or to get out of office.
Part of Bernie’s campaign (in my mind) should be directing the public to question their current representation in government and if that representation is not doing their part in forwarding the peoples issues — then the public should be directed to remove those from office with representation that is on board with Bernie’s campaign agenda supporting The People.
